My faith story….
I was born into a Christian family, so it’s safe to say I was a Christian by default.
My childhood memories are actually filled with a lot of church activities. I enjoyed going to church , seeing my friends, reading my book of bible stories ,watching super book and other bible stories on Tv.
I’ve always been involved in church activities. I was in almost, if not all children’s presentation in church . There was a time I was meant to do a dance presentation in church but my Mum and I went out that day . Guess what happened? Lagos traffic kept us on the road for so long . I got to church late and I cried my eyes out , they had to dress me up in my dance costume and make me join the rest of the team while they prayed and took pictures . I’m not sure this sufficed how I even felt that day lol.
I’m grateful for the gift of my parents because they created the atmosphere for me to know God . My mum ensured I had my Bible, note pad , pen and offering every Sunday . On our way home , we would discuss whatever it was I learnt in church that Sunday .
I remember giving to God and making covenants with God as young as I was then . I got to a point where I wanted to know this God for myself . I got really hungry for God and the things of God .
I truly gave my life to Christ July 27th 2008 and it has been an interesting journey thus far. The journey hasn’t been all smooth but I’m enjoying the ride . I’ve come to realize that working for God is important but walking with God is even more important. I was active in every church activity while growing up but I really didn’t know God for myself , I knew the God in my bible stories and the God my parents knew but I didn’t know God for myself . Knowing God for myself was and still is a personal thing . I’m grateful I found God super early and we are riding together till the very end by His Grace !
