Coachella 2025 has kicked off with a dazzling burst of energy, headlined by none other than Lady Gaga, whose electrifying performance lit up the desert and set the bar sky-high. As we anticipate the second weekend, let’s take a look back at the unforgettable moments that blended music, fashion, and celebrity culture into a cultural spectacle.
At just 11 years old, North West made a stylish impression that had everyone talking. While some kids dream of attending Coachella someday, North brought her fashion-forward presence to the California desert in true Kardashian style for Coachella 2025. On TikTok, she danced with friends to the Glee version of “Say a Little Prayer,” wearing a coordinated grey outfit: a pleated skirt, hoodie, over-the-knee pants, and slippers. The Coachella 2025 standout? A black and silver Balenciaga Le Cagole leather bag—turning a playful look into a designer moment. With the way North put this outfit together, it’s obvious the fashionista gene runs in the Kardashian family and North is taking a full swing. What should we expect from this diva next weekend? More fashion? We’d see!
K-pop powerhouse Enhypen made their debut appearance at Coachella 2025, marking a milestone not only for the group but for Korean music on global stages. Formed through a Korean survival competition show in 2020, Enhypen has been breaking records since after their debut. Known for their sleek visuals and coordinated aesthetics, the seven-member group wore custom studded denim Prada looks while performing tracks from their chart-climbing 2024 album Romance: Untold. Their presence highlighted the global fusion of fashion and music at the festival.
For many artists, playing at Coachella has to be the peak of their career and when the opportunity presents itself, they seize it and make the most of the opportunity because this can be a career defining moment. Well, BlackPink’s Lisa and Jennie did just that this time at Coachella, both performing as solo artist, proving they are both as good singularly, as they are together.
Lisa turned heads in a reptilian bodysuit by avant-garde designer Asher Levine as she performed five dynamic solo numbers from her album Alter Ego, which cracked the Billboard 200 Top 10. Jennie brought a fashion-forward cowboy aesthetic to the stage—complete with a red hat, crocodile leather jacket, crop top, shorts, and suede boots—before being joined by special guest Kali Uchis. Both performances were show-stopping and runway-worthy.
GloRilla’s entrance was as bold as her performance. Taking the stage in an alien mask, she launched into back-to-back hits like “Hollon,” “Wanna Be,” and “F.N.F,” along with unreleased tracks that teased an upcoming project. Her fearless stage presence and edgy style made her one of the most talked-about acts of the weekend.
Benson Boone made a ‘never-to-be-forgotten’ appearance at Coachella 2025 Valley Music and Arts Festival this weekend, much like his performance at the Grammys which featured a dramatic outfit change and two backflips. Following the first ever live performance of his new song ‘Mystical Magical’, Boone announced his second album release titled ‘American Heart’ dropping this summer.
Sitting and playing the piano for the opening verse of Freddie Mercury’s version of Queen’s ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’, Boone gave a reverberating Coachella 2025 performance. A backflip off the piano into the spotlight was only topped by a surprise appearance from legendary Queen guitarist Brian May, who joined him live on stage. The visual drama and high fashion energy of Boone’s set made it a viral moment.
Taking to his Instagram, Boone wrote about that Coachella 2025 night, ‘This show is by far and easily the biggest production I have ever been a part of. The work, dedication, and time to build and see out something like this is near unfathomable. So many people are behind the scenes making this dream happen. I am so proud to be have been a part of this show… I can’t wait to come back to Coachella next weekend, thank you for having me, and thank you for everything you do even if it’s just a simple stream. I love this job, I love this life, I love music, and I love the people I have around me. God bless you all’. And we can’t wait for all the backflips and surprise acts Boone pulls up next weekend.
Grammy award winning German DJ, Zedd gave the Californian Valley crowd a huge surprise as the singer of ‘Your Body is a Wonderland’, John Mayer made an appearance on Sunday night, playing two songs. It was Zedd’s fifth time performing at the hot Californian dessert and he had an impressive line up of guests including Maren Morris, Bea Miller, Julia Michaels, and Elley Duhe. Zedd is however scheduled to return next weekend and we can’t wait.
Beyond the music, the art installations elevated the Coachella 2025 atmosphere into a futuristic playground. Earlier art installations at Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival were basic but has evolved over time with Coachella investing heavily in art projects and working with world renowned architects like Francis Kere, winner of Pritzker Prize, Jiminez Lai, Olalekan Jeyifous and Crown Ethe. Now, art installations at Coachella are not only gigantic but interactive too.
Coachella 2025 at the valley, the art installations featured larger-than-life art works from Paris design studio Uchronia and TSOA’s dean Stephanie Lin. Some of the installations at the valley this year include a gigantic installation by London design studio ‘Isabel + Helen’, which they named ‘Take Flight’. The standout was “Take Flight,” a 60-foot windmill installation by London design studio Isabel + Helen, boasting colorful spinning turbines. Parisian studio Uchronia’s “Le Grand Bouquet” featured massive flower sculptures reaching 32 feet into the sky. Architect Stephanie Lin contributed a futuristic installation of seven color-blocked cylinders, each drawing from mid-century modern desert design, blending architectural artistry with interactive fashion-forward visuals.
Whether it was the runway-worthy outfits, surprise performances, or immersive art, Coachella 2025’s first weekend fused style, sound, and spectacle into an unforgettable celebration of pop culture.
