Ashley Park is at it again. Fashion icon and top model is off to an ambassadorial start, being just recently named Dior ambassador for fashion and beauty. 33 years old Asian-American actress and musician got on the spotlight and famous for her role as ‘Mindy Chen’ in Netflix series ‘Emily in Paris’.

In this series, we see Ashley Park bring the character ‘Mindy Chen’ to life through her exquisite fashion sense and beautiful vocals, an extension of Ashley herself. Mindy is Emily’s best friend and a skilled singer from a wealthy family in China. She leaves her wealthy life to pursue her singing career in Paris.

Ashley Park Mindy is in a league of her own. Every outfit is a little wild, a little over-the-top, and absolutely intentional. Sequins, feathers, bold colors, print-on-print chaos; Mindy wears her feelings. When she’s sad, she sparkles. When she’s angry, she goes sharp. When she’s in love, the sleeves are dramatic and the heels are sky-high.

Off-screen, Ashley Park is just as much of a fashion girlie. She plays with textures and color. She wears things that make her feel powerful and playful. She shows up on carpets looking like a fashion goddess. She’s graced the covers of fashion magazines, starred in campaigns for global luxury brands, and has become a muse for designers. Ashley’s style is rooted in individuality, color, risk, and fun. She dresses like someone who survived something, who sings with her whole chest, and who’s finally taking up all the space she was meant to.

But Ashley didn’t stop at one hit. She’s shown her range with appearances in shows like Girls5eva, Only Murders in the Building, and the award-winning Beef. And in 2023, she made her mark on the big screen, leading the raunchy, raucous, and completely brilliant comedy Joy Ride. It was her first film lead, and she crushed it.

Ashley Park Ashley Park’s journey to stardom began from a young age, participating in school plays in high school. In her sophomore year however, at age 15, Ashley was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia and was admitted in the hospital for 8 months. Ashley was fighting for her life. During this time, Ashley Park received a ‘wish’ from the ‘Make-A-Wish Foundation’ where a trip to New York city was organized for herself and her family, to see the Broadway production of ‘A Chorus Line, The Lion King, Spring Awakening and Wicked’. This is the spark that introduced Ashley to her Broadway career, starring in the Broadway musical of ‘Mean Girls’ as Gretchen Wieners, for which she received a ‘Tony Award for Best Actress in a Featured Role in a Musical’.

Park also starred in other theatre roles such as ‘The King and I’, the off-Broadway musical, ‘KPop’, and ‘Sunday in the Park’. Speaking on her inspiration of joining theater, she said, ‘My cancer experience is, I think, the reason I theater. As soon as I was out of the hospital, all I wanted to do is be around people’. Ashley went back to school 3 months after her chemotherapy sessions and played a lead role in her school’s production. She further said, ‘putting on a wig and putting on shoes and costume and being a different person was the best escape from being just the girl who had cancer.

Ashley’s leukemia journey was not her only health battle, in late 2023, while on vacation in the Maldives, Ashley experienced a medical emergency, septic shock, which is life-threatening. She was hospitalized and had to pause filming for Emily in Paris Season 4. But again, she pulled through. And this time, she had someone by her side, co-star and boyfriend Paul Forman, who she’s since credited for being her anchor during that harrowing chapter.

As a Korean-American woman in an industry still catching up to true inclusivity, Ashley Park uses her platform to advocate for representation, cultural authenticity, and mental health. She speaks openly about imposter syndrome, body image, and navigating fame as someone who once felt invisible.

For years, Ashley Park had already been orbiting the world of Dior, front-row at Paris Fashion Week, dressed head-to-toe in the maison’s delicately structured silhouettes, and effortlessly blending Dior elegance with her own vibrant, playful energy. At the premiere of the second installment of the fourth season of ‘Emily in Paris’ in Rome, Ashley is spotted in a pre-fall 2024 black Dior embroidered dress, accented with fringed detailing and gloves. Ashley also attended Dior’s Womenswear 2025 Spring-Summer ready-to-wear show in Paris.

Ashley ParkThis collaboration between Ashley Park and Dior is a perfect synergy of fashion, personality and love. Spotted severally on red carpets in full Dior ensemble, Ashley Park says she picks her outfits according to how she feels on the inside. In her words, Ashley says, ‘These days when I’m choosing a look for an event, I think, “how do I own this outfit?” When I feel confident and comfortable on the inside, it’s obvious from the outside. So it just depends on what story or what part of my self-expression I’m trying to show off that day’.

Ashley Park joins the long list of other celebrities of Dior ambassadors like Charlize Theron, Anya Taylor-Joy, Rachel Zegler, Robert Patinson, Caleb McLaughlin, Jenny Ortega, Natalie Portman, Anna Sawai, Dilraba Dilmrat, Jisoo from Blackpink, and Alexandra Daddario.
